Need photos from your event? HMS Wire focuses on photography for the intent of newspaper print or other national media needs. This wire service provides fast images for quick turnaround at games played in Hawaii. University of Hawaii and other colleges are covered by us and also cover the visiting teams as well.

Courtney Metzger

Founder & CEO

Courtney is the owner of Hawaii Media Source. She also contributes as a photographer, videographer, editor, and the head of social media for HMS. Her work has been previously published by ESPN.com. She has been blessed to work for companies such as ESPN Honolulu, ESPN 1420 AM, Hawaii Five-O, Poi Planet, 4 Pillars Hobby Shop in Kona, the Hawaii Interscholastic League of Honolulu, the NFL, and multiple division 1 and division 2 collegiate athletic programs.

She is thankful for the opportunity to better her artistic craft every single day and to have covered many priceless events like the Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pageant, the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, the NFL Pro Bowl, and the Diamond Head Classic.

Jay Metzger

Manager / Photographer

Born and Raised in Hawaii, Jay has 20+ years shooting sports and other events. Jay spent 10 years at Kamehameha helping teach video productions. The past 8 years, Jay has been the University of Hawaii’s Multimedia Specialist in the athletics department. Jay continues to teach students about the art of photography and video. His involvement at HMS is managing the photographers schedules as well as instructing new staff.

Andrew Lee

Manager / Photographer

Andrew is a Photographer and Web Editor for Hawaii Media Source. He began his sports photography career in August 2012 and joined HMS in March 2014. In addition to HMS, Andrew also works with the Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) as their event photographer and with OC-16 Sports taking images for their sports graphics and player biographies. Andrew also has worked for Island Sports Media.

“It feels really special to be in sports media. I look around at games, see thousands of people in the stands, and I consider it an honor to be covering the teams I love. I always say ‘I had an impossible dream, chased it, got it and now I’m living it’ because I truly am living my dream every time I cover an event,” he said.”
